1. Placement
Select Male, Female, or Unknown and click the grid. Elements automatically center on intersections.

2. Connecting
Select "Connect". Click the first intersection, then move to the target and click again. Lines snap to straight axes.

3. Indicators
Select a marker (e.g., Deceased) then click a shape on the grid to toggle that status.

4. Layering
Lines are drawn behind shapes. Shapes have a solid fill to keep the diagram clean and professional.
